Our family story

It started with a dinner at home.

Before Queen’s Premium was a brand, it was Farhana looking for a little more time in her day — and a shortcut she could feel good about serving her family.

A familiar kind of busy.

Between work, raising a family and getting dinner on the table, Farhana knew how much effort went into a home-cooked meal. For the South Asian dishes her family loved, that often meant chopping onions and spending time at the stove before the rest of the cooking could even begin.

Ready-made onions seemed like a simple way to save time. But when a store-bought option spoiled a butter chicken dinner, she was disappointed. The shortcut was supposed to help, and she wanted something she would actually enjoy using.

That experience stayed with her. She began working towards crispy onions that brought the flavour she wanted, with ingredients she felt comfortable bringing into her kitchen.

Good food matters. So does the time we get to spend together.

Then it became a family effort.

Working with a local certified manufacturer, Farhana brought the first Queen’s Premium crispy onions to independent shops. What began as a way to make cooking easier at home was finding a place in other people’s kitchens, too.

As Queen’s grew, she eventually left her job to focus on the business full-time alongside her two sons. It became something they were building together: a family business rooted in the meals that started it.

Today, Queen’s reaches more kitchens and grocery shelves, but the reason behind it is still personal. We want to make the everyday work of feeding people a little easier, while keeping the flavour and care that make a meal feel like home.
